The Dream Weekend
The Dream Weekend
For this project, we had to think where we would want to go and stay for a 3 day weekend. For this project I had to think "Where would I go?" and so I listed down about three places and emailed them to my classmates. In the end when we were choosing a place we wanted to go to, I ended up not choosing any of my three choices and picked Seoul, South Korea. I thought that this project was very beneficial to learn in the case that in the future we go on a vacation ourselves and how to plan and budget this. I also thought that this project was very fun because I got to learn a lot of cool things about the place I chose that I have never even heard or known of. In my opinion, I don't think there should have been any changes what so ever because I think this project was fun to do as well as learn. The thought process for me to choose Seoul was very strange. As I had middle length hair according to the class I was the absolute last one to choose. With many of my choices narrowed down, I had to think of a new place that I could go to for The Dream Weekend. Since I watched Gangnam Style and had some pretty interesting Korean friends, food, teachers, etc. I thought it would be fun to research more about that specific area of that country. Then we had to make an itinerary of what we would do there, after much research, I found it to be very easy to plan and after that I looked for a picture I think could best represent it and make a postcard. The postcards turned out very well for me as you can see for yourself, since I was experienced in photoshop in the previous years. The critiques that we had really did help me out though. I did think that the South Korea was kind of hard to read so I had to make it more noticeable by adding a shadow to it, and the back just had to have a lower opacity. In all the project was fun and I hope future students of Chris will have fun doing this project as well. I also decided to do the green group extra credit by making a Gangnam Style postcard. Enjoy!
