Specialized Portfolio
I picked web because I feel that I am good at that subject. I hope to learn how to create my own website. I decided that I want to create a website on wordpress. I sealected this because I wanted to know about wordpress a lot more. For my specialization group, my job is to create a web page where we are able to put our final product on. I honestly have no clue on how to make a blog website on wordpress so I decided to find a video on how to make a website and edit it to my own liking. I also have plans to add a slideshow to of pictures we plan to take for Marra's Class but I did not know how we would be able to make a slideshow like that. I then searched for a tutorial video on youtube of how to make a slideshow which I then found one to use. I hope with these Tutorials, I am able to benefit my group with my new web skills.
1st Reflection: This Tumblr Post mainly focuses on Adobe Photoshop. It teaches me how to edit and change the colors in photos that we took. Changing colors is supposed to make the pictures pop out a lot more. They then print out the new colored and exciting picture that they edited in photoshop because they focus print media. The video they shared on the post also teaches how to add additional details to make their print media or picture look a lot better.
I think that this can matter a lot when taking photos. If a photo I take is something I want to share but it doesn't come out as great as I'd like it to be I can create it better in photoshop. I can edit out colors I don't want and add more details to emphasize points in the picture I want to point out a lot more. I can then print out the picture to my liking and maybe hang it up or frame my new, more interesting picture.
2nd Reflection: This Tumblr Post mainly focuses on the taboo art of graffiti. They show me a work of print that allows a person to practice their graffiti on a brick wall inside of a book. It allows a person to keep practicing their graffiti on a book and later use it on a real wall (not recommended unless you are a real artist or hired to paint some type of mural or something).
I feel like this may benefit street artist a lot. If they are the type of person that goes onto a sidewalk or a wall to make a real work of art this could allow them to practice first and plan out how they might do it in a public environment. It also teaches them what kind of art can go with the texture of the wall with certain colors and patterns. Then they may take a picture of their work and print it out to compare it to the Graffiti book.
3rd Reflection: This Tumblr Post mainly focuses on the video website, Youtube. Youtube is a website that was introduced in late 2005 and was mainly for our entertainment. Before youtube, uploading a video online was much harder but now that Youtube is here, it is a lot easier to upload now. And the videos are now able to be seen by a worldwide audience. Youtube made our lives of video uploading way easier than before.
Youtube is very, very, important to a number of people. It allows people to search up how to videos, upload school projects, ideas, media, advertisement, and like before our own entertainment. Youtube has become something our generation can depend on for information. It is very useful and very amusing which benefits all ages.
