Multimedia Final
End of Course Reflection
1. What was your favorite project in Multimedia this semester? Why did you like this project? What did you learn from this project?
My favorite project was definitely the Self Illustration Project because it was so fun drawing another version of myself. I learned a lot from this project, especially the pen tool because Doug taught us to keep clicking while Chris taught us to click and drag which worked a lot more effectively than Doug's advice. Something I also learned was how to shade because the shadows on my shirt were probably the coolest thing in the drawing. Click here to see Self Illustration Project.
2. What was your least favorite project in Multimedia this semester? What didn't you like about this project? What did you learn from this project?
My least favorite project was the infographics. I felt like it was just busy work and not very proud of our final product compared to all the other projects. I did a lot of research and didn't get to do a lot of the fun stuff like arranging the layout, and drawing most of the objects. I also don't really like group projects because we all have to share 1-2 computer(s). Although I did learn the negative effects of television for children, so I guess I really did learn from my own infographic.
3. Do you feel that your grade accurately represents your effort and what you learned in Multimedia this semester? Write 2-3 sentences defending your grade or arguing why it should be different.
My grade does accurately represent me as a matter of fact. I did all my work to the best of my ability and turned it in on time so I shouldn't be marked late or have a low grade on any project at all. In addition, I didn't even miss a day of Multimedia, so I took in all the information we got everyday of this semester like learning how to plan a vacation, how to use Adobe Illustrator, what a person could do with Adobe Flash, and even the minor things like embedding flash on my DP. Lastly, I always checked my grade to see if I was unfairly marked for something that I turned in on time.
4. What advice would you give to students entering Multimedia next semester? What advice would you give to your Multimedia teacher before starting the next semester?
To incoming Multimedia students, do as much as you can in class because you can't really do much work at home, and also before any lecture, make sure to take your headphones out of your ear because he will put you on blast. Also pre-production is really important so be sure to actually plan out a lot of the things before you actually start the project on the computer. As for Chris, you should try and plan out how long projects will take better because the Flash Animation project would've taken a long time, and the Historic Rap Throwdown took very long to finish.
5. Write one detailed and descriptive sentence that could be used in an advertisement for the Multimedia class at HTHI.
